Applying to more than one college in the LACCD?

U.S.A. California

Is there a way to apply to more than one college for the same term in the Los Angeles Community College District? The district includes community colleges like LA Harbor college, LA Southwest, and LA Valley. The thing is I want to apply to ADN programs for entry into the fall. If I choose the same term to apply for entry like Summer 2015 for one college and apply to another college for Summer 2015 as well, it won't let me and gives me an error that I can only apply to one college in the LACCD per term. Is anyone else having this same problem?

If you are trying to apply to the school in general then you really only need to apply to one school in the district and then you are in the system and can take classes at any of the campuses.

As for the nursing programs, yes you can apply to more than one campus /school for each term but you don't do it online like for general admission. Applying to the nursing program involves meeting with a nursing counselor and getting approved for eligibility to apply to the nursing program (usually is a form you get signed and take to the nursing department). The nursing department will then give you the application with directions on how to complete it. You usually hand deliver all documents (application and transcripts) directly to the nursing department but it may be different at some schools. I've only looked into LACC, LATT, LACH, & ELAC.

Hope that helps, let us know if you have any other questions.

Well, technically only eight because L.A.M.C. doesn't have a nursing program. I've applied to Pierce and Valley. Each has different application periods. Currently, Pierce is accepting applications till February 15(?) Valley will be in a couple of months. Also, each school has a different procedure that one must follow regarding submission of transcripts, applications, letters of recommendation etc. Go to each school's internet page and search their nursing department for exact info.

Good luck
