Applying as a nurse in Norway, anyone else?

Hi, was just wondering if anyone else here is applying as a nurse in Norway??

I am leaving on sept 8 and want to get in touch with other nurses who is planning/hoping to work in Norway..

I read every post of this thread and felt like I just read a hanging, tragedy-themed novela. I started with so much enthusiam and ended on the 61th with nothing but wishes of good luck for those still hanging on to their applications. I really wish policies will change in your advantage guys. As of now that the embassy remains an unclear and formidable hindrance from our Norwegian dream, I will focus on getting my graduate degree, English proficiency, and clinical exerience and possibly look towards other countries. I've worked in a foreign country before, I know that rashing seldom results to success. Imma take it slow, digest everything before doing anything, then finally decide without looking back.

i think the UDI is now available check their websites now. :)

Hello guys! is anyone there? I need your help, My documents are ready to be sent. But i have difficulties paying the processing fee to SAK, My bank which is BPI requested me to contact SAK regarding the benefeciarry name and address as well as bank name and address..i tried to email SAK regarding this but sad to say i got no reply til now, I got relatives in Norway, they are financing everything but i need to process things on my own, and its very difficult for me as a first times.. Thanks :(

hello! yes i have received my authorization as a helsefagarbeider, i was considering to apply for a job seekers visa to Norway but basing from the reply of UDI to me, i bet it would be very difficult to apply for that kind of visa, thats why now im pursuing my my student visa to Norway, i hope everything will flow smooth :) are you also considering Norway?

My partner is considering it. She is a registered nurse here in the PH but only has 6mos volunteer experience. She is in Saudi as a homecare nurse for 7 months now. But she is not a registered nurse in saudi. She hasnt taken the prometric exam yet. We were initially planning to apply for australia but it gets hard especially for the experience as a registered nurse that they are requiring. Because ahpra will not consider her experience in saudi right now because she is not registered there. So we are looking into other options for her aside from australia.

Can you tell how you processed in getting your authrisation? And what are the requirements that they will be asking for. Thanks!

I know this is an old post but I was just wondering how the process went for you with receiving autorisasjon in Norway? I am Scandinavian working on my BSN here in the US and I am hoping to end up in Norway after graduation. I hear the process is rough??

I've noticed everyone is an RN, I've recently started becoming an EN, will i have to become an RN to get the credentials to try move and work in Norway?

I'm from Australia and also have a UK passport, does this give me any bonus points lol

You really need to ask their governing Nursing body as not many countries accept EN/LPN when it comes to immigration and work permits.
