Applying as a nurse in Norway, anyone else?

What is your plan? Do you plan to study for another 2-3 years? Have you started the study already? Got the same decision from SAK.

More than a year of long wait for the decision of my application to Norway is over. Unfortunately, the long wait was not worth it because my application was refused / rejected. Subsistence/ show money was not a problem because it has been more than enough and intact in the bank for more than a year, they pointed out that the money must have been placed in a Norwegian bank account or a deposit account belonging to the educational institution. There is no point in appealing my case because the residence permit to learn the Norwegian language has been closed permanently.

Sad news.. maybe i will get the same result ... there's no chance in appealing????

hi mhaeness88,

may i ask how and when did u apply for a SAK certification? is that the same as the authorization? im an RN and no clinical experience yet. Im ok to work as health worker in Norway. Also i have not began the language course yet, i have found a site that offers "no job, no Pay" language course.

Hi!..need help about the payment..the instructions in SAK clearly states that the payment should be made in Norwegian Kroner..the problem is most banks don't have the currency for wire transfer...the only option they can provide me is to open a dollar account...is it ok to send the payment in US DOLLARS to the same bank info provided in SAK website?...my deepest gratitude for any reply..godbless.

hi i need help, i am still in doubts if i have to continue my plans going to norway, after the udi released a statement of no longer for foreigners to have a permanent resident. Is this new rule can affects new applicants who wants to work as a nurse or a healthcare worker in Norway?

I have granuloma in my lungs, its not PTB though ( thank goodness..LOL) will i still be able to get a job in Norway with this condition???

The day I got my authorization (from SAK) to practice as a Health Care Worker, was also the day UDI closed the NORWEGIAN LANGUAGE FOR SKILLED WORKER program. The good news? the authorization will expire when I reach 75. The bad news? No update from UDI yet.

I read every post of this thread and felt like I just read a hanging, tragedy-themed novela. I started with so much enthusiam and ended on the 61th with nothing but wishes of good luck for those still hanging on to their applications. I really wish policies will change in your advantage guys. As of now that the embassy remains an unclear and formidable hindrance from our Norwegian dream, I will focus on getting my graduate degree, English proficiency, and clinical exerience and possibly look towards other countries. I've worked in a foreign country before, I know that rashing seldom results to success. Imma take it slow, digest everything before doing anything, then finally decide without looking back.

hi.im planning to apply for SAK and im kinda confused about the attachment that i have to submit.. in submitting passport do i have to notarized it or just a copy of it? and the rest of docs like tor,diploma, license, board certificate, coe, do i have to submit it together with the red ribbon or just a certified true copy? thank you in advance!
