Hi, was just wondering if anyone else here is applying as a nurse in Norway??

I am leaving on sept 8 and want to get in touch with other nurses who is planning/hoping to work in Norway..

haven't emailed UDI again. I lodged my application at the embassy last April 30, 2013. Back then, processing time was only 4 months. Then it became 6, and then now, 11 months? Is this a joke? They're making us wait for almost 1-year just for the decision for the visa application?

I feel really bad about this,

Interesting enough, one of my batchmates was thinking about looking for a job in Norway and like the posting on Aug. 3 here, she also heard that the embassy is not really planning on issuing the visa any longer. My friend thinks it's either due to there's really no demand for PH nurses or that those taking the language courses are not communicating well with the patients or like in CA, there's been a rash of fraudulent documents being submitted.

At this point, she's no longer planning to look into Norway unless the visa is a for sure thing.

Yes, I agree, something does not smell right, the delays are getting longer and longer and the reasoning is not very good.

Yes, I also know that there has already been a similar instance in the past wherein they stopped issuing a particular type of visa, I think it's the SKilled Workers' Visa, and what they did, for those who haven't gotten the decisions for their visa application, they just refunded the visa fee. Bad for those who have already been approved for visa but have not left the country back then, since their visas, too, were no longer accepted, and were just offered a refund instead.

I'm just so saddened with the turn of events, but there must be a truth to this long processing times because i learned from an agency that some of their applicants who filed/ lodged their application as early as January 2013 have no results yet. I'm just hopeful that our application will not end up like the 'job seekers visa for skilled workers' before that when there was a sudden increase in application and a lot have reportedly abused the scheme they abolished it. I hope the long wait is worth it. The best of luck to all of us.

Hi @karlito RN im confused. Do i need to have the bank certificate before booking an appoinment or is it ok to hand all my documents then to follow na lang ung bank cert? And can you please send me a format of a study plan. And the list of the required documents. I dont wanna mess this up.thank u so much. Thanks

They have been persistent in contacting me through emails and they also called my mobile at 2am just to inform me about their online course which starts today. But I am still hesitant about taking the course online since I think it's not easy.I found a training center here in the Phil who teaches Norsk, they're based in Manila. If you want, I can give you their contact number.Also, I emailed SHP As about the fees if ever they process my application for authorization and visa. They might charge expensively.
