I applied to Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing..took the NET and received great scores:yeah: and now, waiting to set-up interview with school.
Anywone else applying and waiting to hear back? Anyone already go through their interview? I'm interested in waiting with other applicants!
This is my top choice and I'm ready to be accepted!! :D
The nursing club seems to more of a..well..club..lol...at Caldwell College. No idea what it's about.
Again, check with Mrs. L regarding the grading system but I'm pretty sure you guys won't have the same grading system -- you'll have the one under Caldwell. But, definitely check with Mrs. *. She'll know best and WILL get back to you.
Sorry about the frustrations with Caldwell...which is why I'm "Team Mountainside"....lol. :)
No such luck this is my first bachelors. At least by the end of this semester and all the pre-req nightmare classes are over.
But I agree having an employer pay would have been the way to go. The bill from Caldwell.... let me just say I'll be seeing that nasty sucker for years. Another reason I'd like to be team Mountainside. lol
So your almost done! Wow that has to feel amazing. Are you going to apply for an externship?
Hey guys, Andi bills never stop rolling in...lol! Quick question, I read some of the posts and it says Mountainside looks at the person as a whole not just at a TEAS score so that being said, is everyone called back for an interview after the TEAS or ones who score exceptionally high? I know mydelf and I cannot see myself scoring in the 90s so I am just wondering if 70s and 80s still get an interview? Thanks guys.

Yeah..some of the students from Caldwell couldn't continue the program simply because of the cost. Just way more than Mountainside and I'm sure they aren't offering that many scholarships.
Yes..the feeling is amazing but it will be more amazing AFTER this month is over! :yeah:So much to do before now and finals.
Externships are for nursing students, not new grads. You apply for those in between your first and second year and they are for the summer (even though some have short, winter ones). Internships are for new grads and yes, I'm applying to those but all out of state. NJ doesn't really have that many new grad internships -- mainly after graduation, people want to just WORK. lol

If they are looking for the person as a whole, I'm sure they aren't only calling back only those who scored exceptionally high. They'll look at your grades, your application and other stuff too, I'm sure. I think unless you pretty much sabatoge the interview, if you get an interview, you're basically in. Just do your best on the TEAS and take it from there.
Hey Nancy, I'm in the same boat as you with this Teas test. However, I spoken to Mrs. * a few times and she said that they look at the student as a whole. Not just the test like other schools do. Actually, she said they don't look for a particular grade they look for educational competence. So I'm hoping for the best and keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to you, hope to see you in the fall..
Lovelymo79,
Thank you for responding. You are right, just take the TEAS and go fromt there. I just got a call yesterday from PCTI to come in for an interview. they provide the LPN program. This time around I am not going to put all my eggs in one basket. I applied to LPNs just in case I don't get into a RN program. Where there's a will there's a way..... I would love to go straight for RN and just finish...:[
