I just passed my boards last week. Im sure they will ask me why the long time between graduation and passing boards. All input is appreciated.

Can you share the reason why the year went by?

The reason why it took so long for you to pass your board could help mitigate any damage that the delay in taking your board may cause to your job hunt.
Or it could hurt. Depends of what the reason is.
IMO, the truth is usually the best course of action. That being said, there is no harm in tweaking it so it sounds as good as possible.

Tell the truth. Why did you wait a year? I would not make that big a fuss over it really. People from my class took time off for kids, to travel, etc. It is not the norm, but it is not totally off the grid either. People do it.
Thx for the feedback. I had living situation to deal with so i had to work more hours a fell behind in nclex study. I have an interview Wednesday so we'll see!
