I believe your school has to send something to the BON telling them that you completed the program as far as Pearson VUE not sure about that one.

I am also in the bsn program at national and graduating in May 2009. I also opted to finish the BSN classes before taking the class. I have classmates that stopped at the ADN level. They were able to take the Nclex as soon as their degree posted and national sent the degree confirmation paperwork. You can apply to take the boards at anytime but most of our cohort waited a few months before graduating to apply. It does take time to complete your file such as fingerprints, application, and degree confirmation. If your file is complete and you only need your transcript the board will let you schedule your exam but you must have the transcript in before you take the test. I will start applying for boards in march.
Thanks! I feel a little bit more relieved. This info was really helpful. Can you let me know how the process works out for you? Good luck with the last few months of nursing school

Actually this is not completely correct. The BRN will permit one to test before they have a completed set of transcripts received, as long as one's name is on the roster submitted by their school. If you think about it, how would one be able to test from your program if they did not have a completed set of transcripts.
Your program is the only one that does things this way. Degree is not needed to receive permission to test, those that go thru the 30 unit program never get the degree. As long as proof is submitted that the required courses are completed, then all is good.
Documentation is needed with the coursework that is completed before the BRN will release the actual license.
