Because of your age? Why is that a problem? I just applied for my first school for a January 2013 start and I will be 31 three months from now. I have a prior BA so if I had the money I would have gone for an ABSN but instead I'm starting with the ASN and will pursue RN-MSN one day.
Anyway, you are never too old to learn, they say...

I am 28 years old and planning on applying to UF,USF, UCF and Florida Southern for Fall 2013. I have to say that reading all of the requirements and seeing how many people are getting turned down with great GPAs is a little scary. Because of my age, if I don't get accepted to a BSN program I am feel like I would be waisting time if I applied and didn't get it. Do any of you students have a back up career plan if you are not accepted to a nursing school? I am hopeful but the amount of people turned down is insane.
