Applying to CCBC LPN after RN

Hi All!

I was unfortunately just wait listed for CCBC Catonsville Fall '19 RN program. I wanted to be proactive and apply to CCBC Essex Fall '19 LPN program before the deadline for that program. I know it is not permitted to apply to multiple nursing programs at the same campus and start date, but has anyone ever had success with applying to both programs at different campuses?

Thank goodness. I’m just waiting on decision if I get in or not . God I hope I’m one of the fortunate ones. I need this more than ever.

Just checked my email and saw that they denied me . I guess I’m not one of the fortunate ones . I’m so disappointed ???.

Oh No!! I'm so sorry. Did you finish all required prerequisites? What about your teas? I'm just wondering because most Lpn applicants get approved.

the only reason why I applied to this program was because I failed out of ccbc RN program. Applied to another RN program and didn’t get it. Keep you head up baby.

Yes , I finished all prerequisites. I even have enough prerequisites to apply to any RN program. My teas score is low so I guess that’s why I was denied.

Did you at least get a score of 69 in reading and proficient overall?

My Teas was 70 in reading and 68 overall..... I had less than that when I got into the RN program.

If you passed reading then you should be able to get in regardless. I really don't know what exactly they look for. I wish they gave a reason for denial.

My Teas was 70 in reading and 68 overall..... I had less than that when I got into the RN program.

Teas was 68.1 in reading. I still applied anyway because I wasn’t that far off and I have all the extra prerequisites. I’ve heard of people still getting in despite of required teas scores.

They gave a few reasons but I’m not sure. I’ll guess it’s because of teas score . One reason was because of prerequisites which is not the issue and gpa which is not another issue so I’m guessing is my teas score.
