HI EVRYONE!
i am really glad to find such a great community for nurses.i am a nurse from India and currently migrated to illinois.i would like to take the RN nclex test under the illinois board but have lots of doubts. i have already referred the idpr website n even tried calling up the dept of professional regulation but i was not able to contact anyone there.i would be grateful if anyone of u can clear some of my doubts.
1) can i apply under the illinois board only after my credential evaluation report is ready?
2)should my liscensing agency back in india sent the CT-NUR form directly to the illinois board or to me so that i can submit the CTNUR form along with my application?
3)how much time does the whole process usually take and how much time i have to wait befor i can get the RN test dates?
4)can i work as a part time cna till i get my RN dates.since i am already a nurse do i have to take the cna test?
thanks in advance for the replies.please help.

Hi and welcome to the site
I have moved your post to the International forum as process is slightly different with you being a foreign nurse. You will have to take the CNA course and test to be able to work. Process is several months whilst going through the process of licensure of which NCLEX is part of that process. I suggest a read and maybe use the search facility as there are a few threads on applying to Illinois
Good luck
