Shouldn't make a difference whether you apply now or in November if the deadline is November. Do it now if you just want to get all the paper work done, but the deadlines pretty put everyone on an even playing field. I applied for my nursing program the last day you could apply and I got in (over 300 apps for 70 slots).
I would go for it, but check and make sure you can apply this early. Some schools that I have looked at had a specific date that was the earliest you could submit and they would not accept it if you sent it before this date. Otherwise, get that puppy in the mail! Then the waiting...AAARRRGGHHH! I am currently applying to the RN program at the cc in my area, but you will never guess when they let us know for Fall 2005....not until January 2005! Goodness sakes!
I am applying for Fall 2005. They start accepting applications as early as November 2004 and the deadline is February 1st 2005. Early decisions go out February 1st, regular decisions go out by the end of March! I will be applying as early as I can in November, but it will be dependent on my classes.
Anyway, My only concern about applying this early is that they may lose your application! I personally would wait until they start accepting applications. I imagine they have these dates in place for a reason, and I dont think submitting it early will help any. Best thing is to contact them and ask for specifics!
Good luck!
Most schools offer online application. So generally speaking there is nothing TO lose. Personally I sent in my Apps in Sept. 03 for the Feb 04 deadline. They received it, acknowledged receipt. I sent my transcripts(I went ot several schools and had a plethera of transcripts to send) which they acknowledged receipt of also. I say Do it early kid...save yourself some woes. Send them early just like your taxes. So if they are making early offers, you are in the early and regular pool as well.

I am interested in applying to Johns Hopkins Accelerated nursing program. The next class (available) begins in June 2005 and the application deadlines are in Dec. 2004 for regular admission and Nov. 2004 for early decision. In 2002 they had 450 applicants for 110 seats. Would it be worthwhile for me to apply now (May 2004) and get a big step ahead of the game? I finish my bachelors degree in Dec. 2004, including all prerequisites. I appreciate all responses, and I'm especially interested in anyone who is at, or has gone to Johns Hopkins.
