Has anyone applied to OHSU or Seattle University Grad Entry MSN programs and heard yet whether or not you got an interview? I was expecting to hear sometime in the past week and haven't. It's driving me crazy!! OHSU sent me an email a while back saying to be available Feb. 5-6 in case I did get an interview, so there's not much time left to hear...

Hi all, I've been waiting to hear back from Seattle U too. I just checked with Admissions and was told that emails asking for interviews went out on Friday 1/30 and Monday 2/2. Good luck to all. Guess I'll have to apply next year. Starting to worry that this is the trend that the rest of my applications are going to follow...

Has anyone else interviewed for or going to interview for the FNP track at SU?

Hi! I am interviewing for the FNP track at SU, but they have not sent me my interview date yet. Has anyone gotten their date? For anyone who has done the interview, any advice/tips? Thanks!

I interviewed for FNP on the 4th. It was with 2 interviewers and lasted about 30 minutes. Questions were pretty standard for the grad nursing program. The grad assistant did tell me that they are interviewing 64 applicants and they can accept 20-25. Good luck!

I interviewed yesterday at SU for the CNL track in the APNI program. I was told that about 200 people applied for all ANPI tracks and they were extending interviews to about 95 out of those 200. Interviews should be completed by the end of Feb. and decisions will be sent out in early March.

Good luck all!

:mad:Hello Everyone!

I was interviewed two weeks ago from SU. And I am still waiting to hear back. Could anyone share with me their experience during the interview? And if you could... please share your answers to their "when was a time when you experienced ....." questions? Boy, those were tough. Good luck to everyone!

Hi,

I felt my interview at SU went very well. The interviewers were quite cordial and I never felt like I was in the hot seat. I was asked to recall a time when I encountered a "person in need" (such as someone who was homeless, poor, underprivileged etc.), what I did and how I felt about it. I do volunteer work at a free clinic for adults who have no health insurance, so I related several incidences of patients I have met working there. I was asked about a time when I was leader and things went well or badly and how I handled it. I talked about organizing and leading a study group for microbiology students at my college. I recall also being asked how I handle people who are angry or upset. I said that I try to listen as much as possible, try to narrow down what they are angry about and then try to remedy the situation. I also feel it is calming and helpful to the angry person if I give then my name and how I and be contacted in case future action needs to be taken. That makes them feel as if they are dealing with a "real person" who cares about them, not just "some lady" in a white coat.

Hope this was helpful. Good Luck!
