Hello nurses, I wonder if any of you have applied to Indiana State University for the LPN to BSN online program? I sent in my application in March, and currently awaiting a response, which they say will be at the end of May. The waiting is stressful! Have any of you applied to this program? Does anybody know how competitive this program is? Thanks in advance!

A driver's license was required for the application, so that may be what is used to prove one's residence. And I guess one's LPN license would have to be in the given state as well. You should inquire at ISU.
Did you enter the program?

How is the program going? Are you glad you signed up?
@stumptowngurl I just applied there on March 1st, I haven't heard back yet, I know they say they don't start reviewing until mid to late march, just wondering what people have experienced in wait time. How long before you heard back after submitting your application?

Hi,
I am getting ready to take the Kaplan and apply to ISU this September. I do not have long to prepare for the ISU Kaplan at all. I am wondering if you have any pointers at all?
Thank you,
Whitney
Hello, I recently just got accepted into the LPN-BSN program and needed some help. In addition, due to COVID, we were informed that we need to find a preceptor that is a BSN or above and can use any family member or peer to complete a head-to-toe assessment at HOME. I am looking to see if someone can assist me.
Thank you!
Congrats! It is a great program! I am almost done, will finish in May. Do you have any friends who are nurses? Your preceptor for the first class on assessments could probably be precepted by ADN if you don't have a friend who is has a BSN. It's worth asking. And you can use anyone for your "patient", but make sure it is someone with whom you are comfortable with performing assessments. At the end of the semester, you will have to make a video with the person in it to show your instructor.
@Sima DesaiOh my, I started this "journey" at ISU 3 years ago...by bundle, do you mean the books? For the first semester, you will have a book on "Physical Examinations" and it comes with a pocket sized book that is useful. I am sorry, I can't recall what else comes with the bundle. You will have to purchase access to the Shadow Health Digital Clinical Experiences web-based package. You will use this throughout your program. Also, there is significant amount of testing through Kaplan. At the beginning, you will feel like you are spending a lot on curriculum! But bear with it, this is a strong program. Just keep organized, don't get behind, and never plagiarize!
