I applied for Carson-Newman University online MSN-FNP program for Spring 2020. What are your thoughts about the school? Any information about the program is greatly appreciated!

They say it is part time but it sure as heck doesn’t seem part time. I am enjoying pharm a lot and the teacher is absolutely awesome! Great lectures, case studies, and tests and I am learning a lot from -----------------------. I am able to incorporate what he is teaching into patho. Patho on the other hand is not a good class and I haven’t learned much of anything, it’s chapters to read and very minimal guidance. I am hoping all of the classes are not like this, that class is disappointing.
OK! Thank you!! I am trying to make the best decision and I really appreciate the feedback. I've heard that a few times about the patho class so was curious how others felt...
I am glad the one class you really enjoyed and learned a lot in. That's encouraging!

Thank you! Are you happy overall with the program?
Yes I’m happy overall with the program. I got my MSN already online so I’m used to that format. A lot of information is self paced and taught for sure. This course is taught through PowerPoints over voice lecture. His lectures are very detailed and have over 100 slides. Takes me a couple of days to get though the assigned lectures. Thankfully the reading requirement is not as long. It’s a useful adjunct. Once you start clinicals I found it all comes together a lot more. I have five months left and I’ve learned so much more doing the hands on experience and interacting with patients.

OK that's very reassuring! Thank you so much and best of luck with everything!!
I am very happy with the pharm class, very detailed and informational and he seems to really care about the material and teaching. Patho I am not impressed even a little bit about and there is minimal to no guidance. Overall, if the classes turn out more like the pharm class I am in now then I think it’s a good fit, I am just hoping they aren’t like the patho class I am in. Good luck with your decision!!

Thank you!! Is there even a teacher for the patho class or no?

Hey! One more quick question if you don't mind. It looks like I will have ------------------------ for Patho. Is that who taught it for you? Still trying to make a decision on this program. Thanks so much!
Heyy! I don’t see the teachers name, but if it’s the same teacher I have it will be all on your own and not guided, with emails rarely answered if answered at all and minimal feedback on anything handed in. But the pharm class is absolutely wonderful and I’m hoping I have the same professor in the future! It’s hard to commit because it’s a big change but you will make the right decision and be successful!
