Application Number CVS N.Y.

Hello ,

Does anybody knows how long it takes until they will give me an application number so I will be able to check my status online? I applied 3 weeks ago but they did not send me a letter or anything else. N.Y. BON ist fast -- I got a letter within 2 weeks and another one today with number and more information. I tried to call the CVS to make sure that they will send everything to N.Y. BON but that is hopeless anyway ( do they really answer any calls?).

My visa screen is ready for review but the verification program is waiting for stuff - license and transcript validation forms I do believe according to the cgfns site.

Strange - Its the other way around now visa screen is waiting for stuff and verification program is ready for review!! .......oh of course I guess the visa screen are waiting for my NCLEX results

I applied in Feb 05 (19th) for NY BON - have i been waiting too long yet? i.e do I need to chase things up re a letter telling my that I can apply to pearson veu for an ATT? or if they still believe that I am short in my requirments? (new transcrips were sent)

NY BON will not release anything until they have received everything from CGFNS. They need verification first over everything. It can be anywhere from two to six months to receive the letter that they have accepted your credentials on average.

Remember that with NY, they receive all information thru CGFNS.

I personally would give it more time............ :)

My experience now is that they are fast! Everything is ready for review.

I called them several times to ask s.th. and they were always friendly and helpfull. It is best to reach them during lunchtime .

Visa Screen has to wait for NCLEX but they ordered everything from CVS N.Y. and I have passed all the English exams ( TSE, TWE,TOEFL).

Their ground mail gets lost all the time, which is strange. So I called them for duplicates.

Suzanne: You are the best! I did everything the way you told me ( going N.Y. etc.) and it works quite well and I am still thankful that you recommended not to go CGFNS but N.Y.!!!

Hi there,

I have a question and need you help. I am preparing documents for applying NY state and I need CGFNS review my transcript and license. The question is CGFNS has two forms for my nursing school and nursing council. I wonder that i need to send that forms to the school/ council or complete them and send to CGFNS. When i printed , i got two part/ each.

for ny, you do not send any forms to the thai nursing council you your school. you just fill in the release for cgfns to obtain the documents on your behalf. for ny, it is required that cgfns do it.

you should be filing out the special credentials verification for ny and the visa screen certificate application found on the cgfns website. as well as the application for ny board of nursing, and you only need to complete part i of that form.

which part of thailand do you live in? i lived in the center of bkk for quite awhile and just returned last year.........if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. and welcome to allnurses.com.........
