I know that it's early, but I really wanted to get a jump on this. I have read the past two years' threads from start to finish and have seen the amazing support given by everyone involved. Considering how competitive it is for nursing school admission, it is extremely informative and heart-warming. I will be applying to all the schools in the Portland/Salem area to which I will qualify. This next year is going to be rough, but ever since I started on this journey I have loved every moment.
A little about me:
Again, I know this is early, but I look forward to seeing the responses from everyone!
Yeah...good thing I was accepted at OHSU! I must have had a major brain fart when I wrote my Chemeketa essay, because that is NOT the score I expected. I felt very good about it and received only 44/50 points, giving me 354 points, total. Ugh. Brush it off! I have to remind myself that all I needed was one, "Yes," and I got it! Good Luck to everyone else!
alewis- the letters for OHSU????!!!!
I am going to barf.
First choice? Well it's actually a tie now (OHSU/CCC). I am so glad I got to interview at CCC. I really loved them. I had a very good feeling about the staff and about their program. OHSU is a dream of mine, but I am not expecting to get in. I am not expecting anything really. I just gave it my all and I'm anxious to see what happens.
I really want CCC, however the extra points killed me so I am not expecting it at all. OHSU of course is amazing but that last year online being a mom would really help me. I have the highest points at PCC but I have heard discouraging things. I will of course go there if that's what I get into but I felt great at CCC I saw myself there!
This is my reply from OHSU which I got a week or two ago.
Hi Amanda,
Thank you for your interest in the OHSU School of Nursing! We are hoping to have final decisions made next week with notifications to go out by the end of next week or early the week of April 28th.
Thank you,

Four shots on Monday. Chills and fever all day yesterday. Feeling horrible today too, with large painful lumps at injection sites. Now I have something else to think about besides stressing over whether I will get accepted to Chemeketa.
