Applicants to Portland area schools 2013

Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!

Has anyone else heard anything? Simonepier? I'm pretty close to 33 on the waitlist, and I'm hoping that after the orientation today a few more people will be getting phone calls. I saw a fairly big stack of manilla envelopes that were unclaimed!!

I didn't get a call today but ---------------- said they would be going back to the office and seeing who attended today and who didn't and adjusting and calling "this week". I don't know if you stayed after and listened to the wait list questions, there were about 30 of us there.

Has anyone else from the wait-list heard yet?? I'm one of those nursing hopefuls that went from being accepted to Not /: I'm in the early 60's so I know it's going to be a borderline chance if I get in or not!

Well, I can tell you I was 42 and I took a spot a CCC instead. So one less ahead of you!

I've accepted a spot at OHSU so ill be giving up my PCC seat as soon as I get my financial aid info from OHSU to make sure I get enough to cover it! So you'll be another one closer :) good luck!!

I contacted PCC today to check in and they said the waitlist has been stalled for the past couple of weeks, and as of today I am still waiting :( Not sure if Harpers Mom declined her spot yet, but that still wouldn't put me in the mix.

HarpersMom08, I tried to send you a private message, but I guess I haven't made enough "quality posts" heheh. So I'm in the 3 year BSN at OHSU's Portland campus also! Since there's not many of us, it would be nice to connect with whoever I can! I also have a good friend who's in our cohort as well! I'm so excited!

Hey!!!! I'm so excited you attempted to message me haha! I couldn't find a group on Facebook or a group dedicated to OHSU Portland campus on here so I haven't talked to anyone yet! How many people are in the cohort? 20-25?? I'm bummed orientation isn't until sept 24th! That seems so long and I really wanted to touch base with people first. Lol are you in Portland or from somewhere else?
