Applicants to Portland area schools 2013

Published

Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!

I started a class of 2015 page for PCC if yall want to partake and get acquainted!!! :)

I'm happy for those of you that got in! And sad/upset for myself. They really just made a huge mess of my life.

I am sorry Simplesmile that you were waitlisted! 42 is not a bad number. I hope you get in. I can not imagine how you feel right now.

Thankfully, I did not lose my place and will join the PCC nursing class of 2015. :-) Congratulations to everyone who was accepted and to those who were not I am sorry. I wish you all the best of luck of getting off the wait list and into the program.

Wow, I went from #20 on the waitlist to accepted.

However, I also received an acceptance letter from Clackamas Community College, as well. I will be giving up my PCC slot for CCC.

I am pulling for all of you! Believe me, I know the heartache/headache of not getting in and being wait-listed for the past year. If it is any consolation, my seat will be opening up!

I went from accepted to waitlisted #11!! Im slightly nauseous over the whole experience! With that said, still hopefull:)

I'm PCC wait list #5!

I'm still hopeful too... If PCC makes it through as much of their wait list as last year we will be ok. I'm at 42 at PCC and on the alternate list at Clackamas. I plan on following through and attending all orientations in the hopes that I'll get it at one of them.

Gah, I went from waitlist number 2 which seemed like a sure thing to get in, to wait list #34. I can't imagine what it must have been like to go from accepted to waitlisted, what a huge screw up on the part of PCC. Congrats to those that got in. It feels like my life has been on hold for a year and now for some more waiting.

Congrats! And now I'm bumped up to 33 :)

PCC put us through one heck of a ride. My fiancee went from accepted to accepted.

For those who are accepted and have decided not to attend, PLEASE send in the confirmation form stating that you are not attending. The people wait-listed deserve to know that they can attend as early as possible.

If I was wait-listed I would begin to look at post acceptance admission criteria now. From what I see PCC may be going through a large number of the wait-listed.

Just found out I got accepted at Pcc, both times! What a crazy roller coaster. I hope they go though the wait list again this year. Good luck everyone!
