Applicants to Portland area schools 2011

How's everyone doing with their Apps?

I applied to MHCC, CCC, PCC and Linfield.

It's my first year applying and I'm a nervous wreck!!!

How long does it usually take to hear whether or not you got an interview?

I was glad to see CCC changed their deadline to Feb 15th like the other OCNE schools-I think it'll make the waiting more bearable!

Anyone else want to share points to see how tight the competition is this year?

Other than Mt. Hood, I don't get too many discretionary points. :(

Heres what I *think* I have (figuring them myself):

MHCC-63 points

CCC-50 or 51 points depending on how they round up your gpa

PCC-54 points

Good luck everyone!!!

Let the nail biting, stalking the mailbox begin! :lol2:

I'm an alternate at MHCC, but I already accepted OHSU. Congrats to those of you who got in!

I'm an alternate for MHCC as well, and I'm very pleased! It's my only option left, so I hope I'm not too far on the list! They also put my student id for my alternate number. Maybe we get our number after we accept the offer? Happy for the rest of you!

I'm in the SAME boat! :o

All my eggs are in the MHCC basket. (it's also my first choice just because it's where I took my pre reqs and I ultimately have really enjoyed my MHCC experience.)

The patho online scares the jeepers outta me but I'm up for a good challenge!

Just received another email from MHCC....I'm alternate #21 so I'm still hopeful! :)

Good luck, Ginny!

I'm new here but just wanted to let the MHCC alternates know that if you reply to the original alternate notification email, you will be given an actual alternate number. If I remember correctly there will be about 40-45 alternates and in the past they have gone through quite a bit of that list. Good luck and congrats to everyone who got in

Received an acceptance letter to CCC this afternoon! I will be declining, which is very hard to do, because I am accepting at OHSU. I sure hope funding comes through. It's a little frustrating to have to make a decision before you know what sort of financial package will be offered. Anyone else in this boat?

Wish I was in that boat! I've got all my eggs in the Clackamas basket...I'm at work for another hour so I know my decision letter is sitting in my mailbox and it's torture! Congrats though, 1977! :yeah: Hope all the financial aid stuff works out.

Jim, did you interview w/ me? I was at 10AM on a Friday.

I hope you get an acceptance letter! Also, keep in mind they only interviewed 78 applicants, and accept 40. All other 38 people are automatically an alternate. I really hope you get an acceptance letter!

Nope, I was on Monday. The handle throws people off, but I'm a girl. :) One person in my group didn't show, so that brings it down to at least 77...I hate analyzing it all like this, but I feel like it's the only power I HAVE! It's driving me absolutely bonkers. Sitting at my desk at work right now, just..sweating. :lol2:

Oh...and was it a big envelope? :lol2:

Specializes in Psych.

I interviewed on friday @ 10 too :)

Lame.... my letter didn't come today :(

How many points did you have going into the interview? How do you think you did in the interview?
