Applicants to PDX area Nursing Schools 2010

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

Hi fellow applicants for 2010!!

I wanted to start a thread for all of us who are applying to various nursing schools in the area for 2010. I have applied to five different places: OHSU-Monmouth, University of Portland, Portland Community College, The University of Washington, and Boise State University. I wanted to cover myself and hopefully ensure that I would get in somewhere. I have a really good GPA and experience as an EMT-Basic so I am hoping that that will help my chances.

Just waiting it out until they send out notifications.....I just want to hear back!!! :banghead:

Good luck to everyone who applied!

Did they say when they are going to notify?

They said first, or the second. I hope as soon as possible because it is all I can think about.:clown:

Aiyaaaah!!! Just finish my interview about an hour ago w/CCC... my nerves are still getting to me. :uhoh3:

Ha, wasn't it fun!? I'm really glad just to have it over with, the not sleeping/eating thing was wearing on me~

Has anyone heard about the Mt Hood Part Time program? I thought they said middle of this week for notification...Hmm

The part time program is supposed to notify people by June 1st. I am not holding my breath didnt do so hot in the interview. If you hear make sure you let us know!

Lol... I'm glad it's over as well. I can finally sleep. :)

hi all,

just thought to let everyone know. i got in trouble for having rn next to my nickname. so, i changed it to ma (which is what i am). i was told by a site staff that i could not call myself something if i am not :-) and that was suppose to be in the terms/conditions? that i overlooked of course. also to clarify, i am sure most of you know that my intention was not to say that i am an rn, it was just to use it as a nickname. anyhow, thanks for your understandings!

thx

Lol I thinks that's funny policing people's monikers on a freakin' web sight. As far as I'm concerned you can call yourself darthvader and I'm still pretty sure everyone on here wouldn't assume your part of the star wars universe :0

It's all about context though, so if this was an online community for "The Republic" instead of for nurses....having a moniker like DarthVader might be a problem! :p

KurdMA, I'm sure it wasn't a malicious decision but a look to a hoped for future. However, I think it's great to be clear. We have so few ways to tell who we all are....being clear about your current professional title seems like a good idea.

Hi ORRocksRN, I PM you earlier. I'm not sure if it went through??
