Applicants to GWU's ABSN 2011

U.S.A. Washington DC

Hi! Just wanted to start another thread relating to GW's accelerated nursing program. Is anyone applying? They extended the deadline to March 1st and wondering if there weren't many applicants or they just allowed for more time? I'm sending mine in this weekend and am excited!

Hey everyone,

I just found out that I've been accepted to GW and now I'm stressing about how to pay for it... does anyone know of any good websites to find legit scholarships? So many are scams it's taking a lot of time to look for scholarships... any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I never received any e-mail saying that my application is under review. When I log into the website it says my application has been referred to the committee, is that what you all are talking about when you refer to your application being under review?

I am still waiting to hear also. it is really annoying! They don't answer their e-mails either:mad:

I just want to know because it is my first choice. Where else have you applied?

I applied to GWU and GMU. I got accepted to Shenandoah. My first choice is GMU. I have to wait until the end of April; to find out. I like to make some sort of plan for the next year or so. How about you? Where else did you apply?

i called their financial aid dept and the person said they dont know of ANY scholarships at all and I'd have to take out all loans >:-( such BS , i KNOW there are scholarships out there I can't believe the dept in charge of aid isn't willing to help $$$

Hi Bokerglory,

I know it's frustrating. Where else have you applied?

I'm actually not applying for the Fall 2011 semester, but I'm interested in seeing the stats of the people who have been accepted... to see whether or not my current stats hold much weight. If you could message me or just post here I'd really appreciate it!

I'm in! This is my dream school and I wasn't expecting admission at all! Good luck to everyone else!!!

Congrats Louise! Great news!

I have a question for all you guys that applied. How are you ranking the schools? A lot of people I have read have GW or Georgetown as their top choice, but when I started ranking the schools by quality (based on NIH grants and USNews ranking) and price, and length, GW and George dropped to the bottom of the list. I have to let GW know this week and was thinking about how other applicants have ranked them so high.

Any feedback would be appreciated!!!!

Hey all!

Has anyone had a problem filing the Declaration of Intent form? I was accepted and my offer letter said to reply by 4/8/11, but when I tried access the DoI on 4/8, the system said the deadline had passed and I couldn't respond. I have repeatedly contacted the Admissions Office, and even went in on Friday, but have not heard a word back from them. Needless to say, it's been a very frustrating experience, and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

Thanks! :)

I submitted my DoI on April 7th, but the acceptance letter definitely made it seem like submitting on April 8th should have been OK.

Any questions I've emailed or called about in the last month have not been answered. At least you are not alone in them not responding :).
