Anyone have anymore info about this?
Maybe you can Google "Gift of Life"? Thats the program on the upper east coast for organ harvesting/donating. As a surgical tech, Ive done my share of organ harvesting. They are one of my "favorite" (not good that the pt is dead, but very educational) procedures.

Hi there!
I'm an SICU nurse who had the opportunity to watch the organ procurement process in action last week when one of our patients became an organ donor. I'm very drawn to this line of work, both because of the good that comes out of something bad and because one of my family members was a tissue recipient a few years ago.
I spoke to the procurement coordinator for a while about the position and liked what she had to say.
Can anyone here enlighten me a bit about the job, what you do on a daily basis and how you like it.
Thanks!
