  1. We use wire off of those spools as well, but we cut lengths of it off and peel pack it. Maybe you could do that as well?
  2. It is accomplished by first laying a drape and towel down with a fold with the arm then set down and another drape placed on top of that and clamped on each side of the arm. The surgeon utilizing it can't believe that we are not familiar and states that all the premier hand surgeons use this technique. The problem is that no one has ever heard of it, so I was checking to see if anyone else had. Thanks!
  3. We still have ours as well.
  4. We have a new surgeon who is using this technique? Anyone familiar with it? Thanks!!
  5. I had a surgeon say the other day "I thought CSS said it would only take 30 minutes" I replied, "well I guess their time estimation is about is good as yours" I thought it was funny , but he didn't!
  6. We do at both facilities I work at. It's a very good practice, and I'd say at least once every couple of weeks a wrapper will have a hole through both sides and is therefore not considered sterile.
  7. My wife bought me a Cardiology III from them engraved and we had no problems. I've had problems with others around Christmas though. I think it's just the time of year.
  8. I took care of a few pt's that came down for surgery and that place is a zoo! I wouldn't want anyone I know staying there, and you couldn't pay me enough to work at Select.
  9. Thats really weird. If you look at the way a Duraprep is put together you can see how it's possible, but you would think it would be one in a million.
  10. There's your problem right there, don't let anyone handle the specimen once it's off the field except you. Everything else your doing sounds fine.
  11. Me to, except I don't always start at the incision again to work down.
  12. Can you explain this in a little more detail?. If it can happen with stacking you would think even handling the items could cause this.
  13. I contacted AAMI and they said they were unable to answer my question but wanted to sell me a $200 book with the answer. I guess I'll keep looking.
