Anyone from the West Texas area?

Hello all...I'm pretty bored:) So I was wondering if anyone around here is attending nursing school or will be starting in August from the west Texas area, especially in Odessa. Just curious. Thought I might get lucky and someone who was starting the LVN program this fall at the Andrews extension of Odessa College. Probably not, but I'll try. It's killing me that I don't know who any of my classmates will be. Orientation isn't til July 7th. Ok, well thanks in advance for any replies.:)

Well, definately go with what God has set for you. I don't blame you...I'd rather go for my RN any day over LPN first. Things aren't working out that way for me though. I'll get there though.

Yes, my niece is a cutie, thank you. I have never met her(she is in FL), and I have no idea when I will. Money is tight for everybody, and my brother and I can't seem to get it together as far as visits are concerned. Well, my email is [email protected] Email me whenever, I check my email often. Yes, sounds like it! If I didn't need the points so badly, I would skip that day just for the fun! LOL It would've been nice to meet you in person there, too.

I really feel that God has helped get me in here in Midland. I felt God's presence all over me there when I was talking to people and stumbled upon all the info I needed that God put in my path to show me that He would make sure I got enough points to get in. I will just follow His direction and have to pass on the orientation and the back-up plan on getting in at OC if I don't get accepted here. I am just trusting in Him.

BTW, I checked out the pics of your niece and she is SUCH a doll! Also, feel free to email me personally any time. My email is [email protected]. I can't get to it everyday, but when I catch up a little on studying, then I can chat.

Hey Fellow Permian Basin folks.....I am from Crane! Live and work in Austin, but do miss Odessa and especially Taco VIlla!!! I hope all works out for you in school. I went to college here in Central Texas. Come back to Crane about every 6 months. Recently my wife's mother was in Odessa Medical Center with major heart problems. I was really impressed, nice facility and high level of acuity. I did see OC and MC students on the floors!

Hey Fellow Permian Basin folks.....I am from Crane! Live and work in Austin, but do miss Odessa and especially Taco VIlla!!! I hope all works out for you in school. I went to college here in Central Texas. Come back to Crane about every 6 months. Recently my wife's mother was in Odessa Medical Center with major heart problems. I was really impressed, nice facility and high level of acuity. I did see OC and MC students on the floors!

Hello~~~I am the daughter. We are graduating 8-6-04!! I can not wait. Don't forget orientation July 7TH. This is an awesome school. I can not begin to tell you how much I have learned from both Stacy & Patricia. Good luck,

OMG....congratulations! You are in the home stretch now!!!! I won't bombard you with questions or anything like that(I am having to control my typing, lol)But I do want to ask: Is the outgoing class going to be there at our orientation so we can have like a Q & A session? I am so excited to hear from someone who has been in this program all year....and I am double overjoyed to hear them say the program was awesome! I am truly a nervous wreck and I can't wait to get the year started! The last question I have is: Are you all going to have a pinning ceremony? I will be thinking of you guys on the 6th of August. Best of luck, and hopefully I will see you guys on this coming Wednesday!

aw, yes..Patricia and Stacy seemed like a couple of tough cookies when I went in for my interview. They seem like they will be wonderful though. Congrats to your daughter! Do you mind me asking....when will they finish? I was curious because they bumped our start date from the Aug. 23rd to Aug. 11. So, I am guessing they finish in July?

Hello everyone...Wow i didnt realize when i joined just yesterday, that i would see ppl from west texas!!!! I am from Big Spring. I will be starting my A&P this summer. I am also a nervous wreck. I am going back to school after 16 yrs. I am so afraid that i have forgotten all the basic knowledge they teach you in high school, so the thought of learning the new stuff is really scarry. YIKES.

Summersbreeze.....hang in there, you can do it!!! I too went back to school at the age of 35...don't regret it! I am from Crane originally.....I did live in Big Spring for 5 years, out by the cosden plant. I miss the friendly people of West Texas, good food, good roads, open spaces....I wish my wife would let me move back!!!!
