Anyone waiting on acceptance letter from Tidewater Community College VA

Hi Im a student at TCC and I submitted my application in middle end of April, just wondering how long it normally takes to hear something, I am waiting everyday for the mailman about to drive myself loco. Is anyone else waiting for there letter from TCC. Please share with me.

The letters usually come out in June, so it should be any day now...

Im still waiting on my letter and whenever i call to inquire about it they are so rude.

E-mail them--it's more effective than trying to call, especially in the summer.

I applied by the December deadline and got an acceptance letter in march.

I'm just a little nervous and fustrated because whenever I call they are so rude, and very short with people. it makes you wonder if this is a place you want to go to school at when they treat you like crap. They won't even tell you any information about what's going.

You are so correct. I've decided it must be a situation where they are trying to thin out the ranks as much as possible, They don't feel any need to be helpful or nice. Just read the information in the enrollment packet and follow instructions. I've stopped calling because I end up frustrated. For me, Its about the end product. I have two acceptance letters on my desk, one from TCC and one from Sentara. I decided to do TCC because I really desire a degree. You will here stories about every program, good and bad. The best thing to do is to decide what you want and go for it. And don't let anything or anyone (ESPECIALLY) not some rude administrative person stop you.

That is so true. I work for sentara, I have a classmate that works in the same department as me and she got her letter in march as well. She will start in the August Cohort. So worse case scenario is I have to wait until January. I am going to submitt my application to sentara as well but I have to wait until I finish the developmental psych this summer before I turn in my app. I don't want to submit it and that class is not done then I would have waisted $50. So just wish me luck.

Hi just wanted to check in with you and say thanks for all your support. I got my acceptance letter in the mail today and I can't tell you how excited I am. :yeah: I will be starting in Cohort group 4. Thanks again. WHOOOOO!

I just received my acceptance letter yesterday (July 8th). It really was torture waiting for that letter and wondering if I should contact them or not.

Congratulations to both of you for making it into the program. Finally we can move on from those never ending prereqs and actually get started on our degree :)
