My school is now requiring us to buy these clicker type devices for fall. I understand their uses for feedback in class etc., but we have to take our exams on these things. We formerly used scantron. We were told that you cannot go back to a question once you have answered it.
I would love to hear from you if your school uses these, how does it work out? Any issues? Do you like it? Do you use it for exams or just in class responses?
Thanks!
Some of you mentioned cheating--is there a screen on the remote that shows your choice after you press the button? That sounds like a lot of pressure to be tested that way. I totally get the anxiety now!
There aren't any screens on ours. If your finger slipped and you're not sure which button you hit, well, that's just too bad. There is no way of knowing until the end and it's graded.
All it shows on the screen is a ticker showing how many people have answered.

We don't use anything like this, and I am really curious as to what you all are referring to. I am picturing something like in "America's Funniest Home Videos" where you have a remote and you make a choice? But the questions are up on a power point? And you get automatic feedback??
