does anyone use a medical prestige stethoscope?

I hear mostly recommendations for Littman stethoscopes. Does anyone have a medical prestige? They're a little cheaper. Do you think not as good though? Thanks!

I had their cardiology model & really liked it (until someone else liked it as well & it disappeared). It was a bit on the heavy side though. I now use their version of an ultrascope which I think I like even better.

I had one during nursing school and it's the one I keep in my home healthcare bag. I think it's great. I carry my Littmann at the hospital because it's. But lighter and a gift so I don't want it hanging out in my trunk. :-)

My first was a Prestige, but it was just too heavy, and had dual lumens (don't know if they still do?) so it wasn't the best for clear audio, although it wasn't bad. Also, had the fun of the stupid thing unscrewing (back to back bell diaphragms) while it was hanging around my neck and I was walking down the hall.....had to CHASE one of the bells as it rolled happily away! :o I used a Littman Select after that, hated it...now happily own a Littman Master Cardiology :D

Thanks!

The Littman cardiology 3 seems like one of the best, but the price was over $100. Maybe that will come with graduation
