OK I know this sounds stupid but I have a friend that gets really freaked out before big tests like finals, HESI, NCLEX, and usually we get together and a few days before I start throwing out random facts at her. On 2 different tests she said the only way she got several questions was from the random facts that I threw at her that she never would have thought of!
SOOOOO..... I thought that if yall wanted to do this we could get a thread going and try to throw out 5 random facts or "things to remember". NCLEX is coming and the more I try to review content the more I realize that I have forgotten so......here are my 5 random facts for ya:
OH and BTW these came from rationales in Kaplan or Saunders no made up stuff:
1️⃣ A kid with Hepatitis A can return to school 1 week within the onset of jaundice.
2️⃣ After a patient has dialysis they may have a slight fever...this is normal due to the fact that the dialysis solution is warmed by the machine.
3️⃣ Hyperkalemia presents on an EKG as tall peaked T-waves
4️⃣ The antidote for Mag Sulfate toxicity is ---Calcium Gluconate
5️⃣ Impetigo is a CONTAGEOUS skin disorder and the person needs to wash ALL linens and dishes seperate from the family. They also need to wash their hands frequently and avoid contact.

here is one that I came across..............Pepper has bacteria in it and clients who have aids have to avoid pepper d/t being immunocompromised. Never would have though of that till it came up as a review question.

My heart is pounding now, and I don't know if I need to push back or keep the appointment. I need 24 hours in advance in order to change the appointment for the exam. I hope Prado reads my message. But I think Prado has already taken boards so doesn't visit as often as before if you still have trouble just post a message here and I will try to help. Thanks LanePN for your support. I will not change my date for this time. I did pushed it back from 2 weeks ago, and this Saturday is the date for my exam. Currently, I'm doing practices by answering questions from Saunders. By the way, I did not see the envelope symbol under Prado's name. But I sent him a PM through my account and create new message. I hope he will read my mail, because lots of other people need his help too. Thanks again and keep pray for me, please.
Were you logged in when you looked for the envelope. If not you would not see it. Well I also sent a message so maybe prado will get back with all of you. I will pray for you but you know this stuff, if not you would not have passed nursing school. Just remember to relax and read your questions slowly and you will do fine. Its not as bad as some make it out to be. DO not read all the negativity that can be on posted on here it will shoot your anxiety levels through the roof so be careful about what you read. It is just people venting their feelings but will have a bad effect on you. Take care and let me know if you need anything else.
