:typingI just started my summer bio class and so far is alot of stuff. What is everyone using to help them out with this class? Any websites? What book are you using? the class is 6wks AH!
maybe we can support each other
OMG, I am so stressed out by this class!I have to take it online because none of the colleges offer an in person class that works with my schedule. I am taking the 8 week class and I am in week 4 so it is midterm time and I currently have a "C"!
Is anyone else taking this online through Rio Salado? It is BIO156 and my class started May 19th. Good luck to everyone!
Was it really that hard? My courses were to old for rio so i opt to take Bio 156, 8 wks course. I'm hoping that it will be easy. Is that an under statement? Please let me know how you do.
Yeahh!! I thought I had an 84 on the first exam, but I just checked my grades on-line and I received a 92. There were 80 questions, but my prof scaled the exam out of 100. I am much happier now...especially because the Chemistry chapter is out of the way! Now I'm on to the cardiovascular system...much more interesting stuff. :)
I wake up at 5.30 am, get to school at 7 am, get out of class at 3 pm (i do some amateur tutoring, from 2 until 3 since it is not enough time for a "one way trip home" ) then i get at work at 3.30pm and work untill 12.20 am, then i get home around 130am! and have to shower, shave, and all the "inbetween stuff" and get up again at 5.30 am!it is hard, but i still can make great grades! so far i am "leading" the class, which does not matter at all, just helps me pet my self on the back and keep up the hard work!
ah by the way, its hard to eat, so i have to eat junk food, or prepare something and drive to work, leave in the freezer then go to school...
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i am like a zombie! thanks to the daily 64oz of diet montain dew, or green tea! caffeine rocks! just use it wisely!
WOW. I can't function on 3.5 hours of sleep. I need at least 7 hours with a nap during midday. More caffeine power to you!
UGH! How is 156 going? I took it(the 16 week) this spring and it was SOOOO much frigging work! I could not believe it! All the essays and stuff took me about 20 hours a week. I did get an A but it was so hard teaching all that stuff to myself and not having a prof. to guide me on what is important to know etc. I did do the quizzes online and they were helpful for the midterm but not so helpful for the final. On the final there were a lot of really different multiple choice questions but the essays were easier than on the midterm. I hope it is going ok for you. You are brave taking it on an accelerated schedule!
This has been the night from hell. I incurred website problems during my medical terminology exam. Ten of my answers failed to register. The answer sheet started blanking out. I am so frustrated.
I don't know if my instructor will permit me to retake it or if another option is available. We have no other assignments save exams. I would be looking at a C in a best case scenario. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so, what recourse did you take?

OMG! I am still stressed out. But it is getting better. I passed my midterm and I only have four weeks left. It is pretty crazy but I think I might make it after all! Wow that sounded cheezy! Anywho, I am excited to get it over with because the pace is astounding me but I think the one thing I would advise is for you to take notes as you go and pay really close attention to the actual verbiage in the course. Let me know how you do too!

LOL!
I haven't tried that yet. Is anyone else losing weight? I'm down nearly 15 pounds since school began.
