Hey! I'm taking BIO156IN, which is Biology For Allied Health Professionals. (I need it to take A&P) So far it's very fast paced and a lot to remember....I'm not getting a lot of sleep!
I find flashcards are working well. I forget the book's name. I know it has a pelican on it. It has an interactive CD with activities and tests to it for each chapter- definitely helpful as well.
I'm taking Biology 121 - General Biology. It is the section slated for science majors. I was originally registered for the easier course but I changed due to a time conflict. It was a great decision. My professor is very laid back, straightforward, and really wants us to learn. We meet from 8:30-11:15 M-TH. Lab is on Monday and Wednesday.
We're using Biological Science by Scott Freeman - Second Edition. It comes with an accompanying cd.
If you're feeling swamped, check out Biology Made Simple by Rita Mary King. It should be available at your public library. Those taking a more advanced version of biology might prefer Homework Helpers Biology by Matthew Distefano.
Good Luck!

How is your class going? We are done with 3rd chapter and this is our 2nd day of class. Is going fast and I have to read bad. If you hear of any websites it would be appreciated
My class is M-Thu 7am-11:20am. It started last Tuesday. Today we had a Chapter Test on Chapters 1,2, and 3. We're going over Chapter 4 now, and will have a Chapter 4 quiz Thursday, and a Chapter Test on 4&5 on Monday.
It's a lot of memorization that's for sure!
