How was it?
What'd you go through?
Still have the book? Ill buy it of you!
I took the EMT course and managed to get a C which wasn't good enough to qualify for the national registry exam, which IMO was a blessing in disguise because I eventually want to become an RN.
Thinking about doing this CNA course and working as a CNA before I start the ADN program at my college. ( Wait lists suck! ...but I'll get pre-req's outta the way and any other fun course I want to take :) ):heartbeat

Yes, I took a CNA course prior to nursing school. It ended up being required anyway, so all the better for me. I don't have the book anymore and every program requires different books. As for what we went through, we had class time, lab time and then clinical time in a nursing home and hospital. I had a really great class and it really was a first step for a lot of people to decide if they wanted to become a nurse or not. Half the class ended up not pursuing nursing, and that's okay!
Did you learn to clean butts?

I am currently in the ADN program for my RN at my CC. I am going into my third semester. After you take one semester learning all the basic nursing skills you are eligible to sit for the CNA state test, which is what I'm working on now. You won't have to pay for the course if you go this route because you have already learned the same things in the RN program. You just have to fill out a letter of eligibility form and send it in.
