Anyone starting WGU Jan 2016

Published

Hey just trying to connect with peers attending or who have attended WGU. I'm starting in January, I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I have 40 cu's to complete. Thanks

Hi, I am also starting in January - feeling a little overwhelmed and I haven't even started.

What were your teas tests scores if you don't mind me asking. I am currently set to start the ASN program at Ivy Tech but would rather to the WGU program becausee I have 3 small daughters. What classes are used for acceptance? Please give me some advise. I was told they only accept 10-12 students
This thread refers to the WGU online RN-to-BSN program, in which the TEAS exam is not required for acceptance because everyone who has enrolled is already an RN.

Hello all, anyone from Florida starting in 2016?

Hey I am doing the RN-BSN program but almost all of my general ed courses transferred without a problem. Hope this helps

Hi everyone,

Hope everything is going great for you so far! I start February 1, but haven't been able to find anyone else on here who starts then :) How are you all feeling about the program so far? I'm anxious to get started and would love to hear any feedback!

Hi SpaceFly,

I will start RN-BSN on February 1st. I am excited and scared at the same time; I am starting a new job as an RN after just getting my license 6 weeks ago and didn't want too much time to go by before I get my BSN.

I am waiting for my financial aid to be applied and then classes will be open. I have 31 credits to complete (biochem and all the nursing classes); how about you?

Good luck!

Hi lovenursing_and SpaceFly,

I am also scheduled to start the RN-BSN program on 2/1/16

Hi lovenursing_

Congrats on getting your RN! I have 37 credits to complete- biochem, government, and statistics. I am also waiting on my financial aid. I had a scholarship interview on the phone today and they said it may take up to 2 weeks before my financial aid is complete.

Hi Spacefly and thisnurserockz,

Did any of you joined the FB page? Do you know what was the name of the FB group?

I am also starting 2/1/16 and the facebook page is WGU RN to BSN Discussion Group. They will want your start date and school email to accept you into the group. So far it seems like a very helpful group. Good luck to everyone starting!!

I have not joined the Facebook page, but I am going to look for it right now!

I sent a request for the FB group and now it is pending. I hope that in a couple days I will be accepted in the group.
