Which Ivy Tech in the state is it easiest to get into the nursing program? I keep applying and cannot get in despite perfect grades and attendance. Does IPFW have an associate program and how difficult is it to get in to? What about IU in Kokomo? Though Ivy Tech is my first choice since I cannot get any financial aid.
Julielpn,Are you doing the LPN to BSN from ISU?
No. IUE doesn't have the transition from LPN to BSN. I have to start where everyone else does. But that's ok, I think I'll stil have a heads up when it comes to clinical and class, cause I am already a LPN. (It's been good for me to go this route.) :)

Where do you live? I didn't get in at Indy's Ivy Tech, but got in at Columbus. It's the first year they're offering the program. I heard Ivy Tech Kokomo was easier to get into.
I go to IU Columbus, and we are doing clinicals at Columbus Regional Hospital, which I must say is FANTASTIC...I wish I lived closer to Columbus, I would work there! We also do clinicals at St. Francis hospital in Indy. I am in the LPN-to-ASN program and will finish May 2005. :)
P.S.. IU Columbus has a traditional ASN program, (for non-LPN's) but they don't advertise it AT ALL....It is a virtually unknown program and I have no idea why! It's a great school!
they use. They weigh the NET exam to the point that someone scoring 80th percentile on the NET, but who is a "B" student will probably be ranked higher than a 60th percentile "A' student. In addition, they give extra points for taking a certain number of your prerequisite courses there. If you can't get into Ivy Tech consider IU (pick the campus), Purdue, or Ball State. These schools do not use the NET (this would help someone with good grades, but you doesn't do as well on standardized tests).
