Hello, everyone,

I will be starting the Chamberlain FNP program in September 2014. I would like to know if anyone is also starting in the fall semester. I planned on taking 1 class at a time, in order to get familiarize with the course load and make good grades. Input will be appreciated in order for us all to work together to achieve our aim.

Any ideas or thoughts of classes yall will be taking?

How many classes do you tend on taking in a semester?

I believed the advisor stated fall semester classes can begin registration in July.

I too am starting in September 2014. Nice to meet everyone..

Stephaine11, yes, I called to register yesterday. Have you seen the FB group for Chamberlain FNP students? There are a lot of current and prospective Chamberlain students there, too.

Hi! I too am starting September 2014! I am the most worried about the clinical placements. I was under the impression it had to be a FNP to preceptor. Any current students know the answer? I'm planning on doubling up as well. Would love to stay in touch with y'all. I live in New Mexico. [email protected]

Stephanie11, so far the first class is really easy, just a lot of apa writing and rules. I'm expecting the classes to get more intense.

Looks like I am in for Sept 2014! RRHRN, I am also in Jacksonville!

I look forward to "working" with all of you! ?

Heading to Chicago for immersion in 3 weeks!!!

Hey ChelleLynn, just wondering how classes are going so far? I'm in my 2nd class and going to start Research in September. I guess what i'm trying to ask is do you feel you learn a lot in the 8 week courses-- like Patho or Pharmacology? Just seems like quite a bit to fit in 8 weeks. A lot of reading??

BTW- I live in Florida as well-- on the Gulf Coast just west of Ocala.

For your clinicals have you tried the enp network. Just google "enp network" put in your zip code and it should produce FNP providers willing to do clinicals.

Hello ChelleLynn, I am headed to immersion weekend in 3 weeks and was wondering if you had any advice? And if you knew anyone who failed? I'm so nervous!!! Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I am currently in the FNP program at Chamberlain as well and also in the Jacksonville, FL area. Just wondering on how everyone is doing thus far? Did anyone have difficulties with finding preceptors? Did the practicum coordinator help? I am starting my third session for the program and plan to start practicums in Jan 2017. I have made of list through contacts and my organization, and hopefully will secure some preceptors.

They will help in setting up the contract with the facility (not hard). Finding preceptors is all on you.
