:yeah::yeah:Yes, I am starting on the 26 at ATC as well. Are you going days or nights? When did you register? I just got my registration form today so I will have to register tomorrow morning bright and early!!!!! SO FUN>>>>> :p I can't wait to start though I am so excited! How about you?

Yeah!!! I am attending days, what about you? I registered August 5th. The August classes were full already to I had to move to Oct. Have fun at registration, lol. I waited for a couple of hours. Bring something to read!

I am extremely excited. I've been waiting all summer. I have moments of "freaking out" but overall it's total excitement!

Did you get your books already?

I have some of the stuff already since i was going to school out of state before I started here. So I don't have much to get, but I do still have to get some of it. UUUGGGHHH....It never stops!!!! LOL!!!!! I will be going nights though, since I have 2 daughters and can't afford to miss a day of school if they're sick. Thankfully I have enough help if they do get sick at night though. I figure maybe I'll be one of the first ones there and open registration isn't until next week so hopefully it won't take too long.....(yeah right we both know how slow they are about things...lol). I can't wait to start either. I was there today and saw the honor roll list and there were only 3 students that got all A's. i've always gotten a 4.0 in school but now I'm worried. How did you do on the TABE and TEAS? Good luck. We will def. have to study together sometime. I will only be going mon-thur since i'm goin nights so I have all day fri off. and Lucinda told me today that the first 3 weeks aren't really full time since it's core you just go when your teacher tells you to, at least that will give us time to acclimate to the atmosphere.....:chuckle

Yes, I will def study with you! I'm trying to psych myself up that it's going to be really difficult and hopefully I'll do alright. I always hated school and was never very good at it, but with this, I seem to be pretty "gung ho", so that's a good sign. As far as the TEAS and TABE. I did great on the TABE, on the TEAS I did ok. I really bombed science. I was freaked out because I thought I would have bombed the math. But, I only had to take it once, so I was more than happy!

Yeah, I heard that the first couple of weeks was core and wasn't super intense. Hopefully, that'll be enough to get acclimated. I did hear some great things about ATC so that's a relief. I went to a computer class years ago in Ft Laud and it was HORRIBLE. Blah. :)

That's great. I did good on both test after stressing over the TEAS (esp. the science as well). I actually surprised myself and got 12.9 in all sections on the A level on the TABE and a 91, 96, 97 and 99 on the TEAS!!!I thought I would pass out from the relief. :chuckle I have also heard good things as far the LPN classes go there. My mom is in her last semester for med asst and I don't like the way they teach that class. She has one teacher a semester who will teach like 3/4 subjects (ie: med transcription, typing, med terminology etc) I have heard that the nursing is different though so that's good. I hope it is as easy as I think it will be. I always expect it to be harder but I always luck out. LOL!!! Hope we get through it in one piece. Yeah, I've heard alot of bad things as far as other schools go around here. But I have heard mainly good things about ATC and my boyfriend works there so I know he would tell me the truth and he says it's good.....so I guess we'll see!!!!!

I know you said you were doing the WIA program for your LPN, do you know if you can also do that if you have financial aid or is that only for if you're unemployed and need assistance? I need all the assistance I can get! Lol. ;)

I get financial aid (Pell grant) but WIA paid for my books and background and drug test. So yeah they will. You have to apply for financial aid to be able to qualify for WIA. I wouldn't tell them i was working though. You do have to go to an orientation though. Let me know if you have any more questions and i will try to help as much as i can. Hope this helps.

so i know Spencer is going days but is everyone else goin days or nights? i'm goin nights and would love to find some classmates that will have the same times as me......Spencer we're gonna have to meet up between classes on the 26 so you can let me know what to expect.......

Mine start at 2 pm but from what i understand they will all start on time but will probably end early for the first few weeks. Lucinda said it would be up to the individual teachers. So maybe you will get out early. It doesn't matter since I will be there at 12 anyways, to have lunch with my boyfriend (he works there). So let me knnow if you want to meet up, even 15 minutes will be better than nothing to kinda know what to expect.
