If so, what department, what was your starting pay, how was/is the orientation period, and how do you like the job in itself? Thanks! I look foward to working there when I graduate in 2010:)

Hi lilarn2! Do you know how far in advance they start interviewing? I got through prescreening and am waiting for a call for an interview (fingers crossed) for the summer June or July program. I am from out of state and am wanting to be able to interview as soon as possible. Any information you can give me about the program would be great. Hope its going well!!

cab3f,

I'm in the same boat as you! Where are you moving from? Can you post or pm when you get called for an interview? thanks!

:o

Im from Nashville. I wish my phone would ring lol...I want a job! I graduated in December. I have had no luck whatsover. I have always wanted to relocate to orlando so im just praying that it works out!

Can you not chat on here? I am kinda new to this and can't figure it out lol. I am not moving unless I get offered employment. I got through prescreening at the beginning of March and I have been waiting for them to start calling for summer interviews. Where are you from??

I am in the same boat as you all! I am so anxious for the phone call! Do you know if we will know either way? I wonder what our chances are at this point? Also, what does your jobpage say? I am also moving from out of state!

hi I'm new to allnurses.com...Florida Hospital Offered me a job (surgical pcu) it starts May 23th. I'm nevous because there I have to take the EKG test on the 16th before I start the program, if I dont pass the test I cannot start the program. Does anyone Know anything about the Ekg test?

Thank you

Specializes in Med/Surg, ICU, ER, Peds ER-CPEN.

The EKG test should be recognizing basic rhythms and dysrhythmias, grab an EKG made easy book or contact their education dept about purchasing the book they use for EKG/tele training and you'll do fine Good luck :)

I got hired for the July program, but they called me last week, and they want me to start in May instead. Before you start orientation you have to take an EKG test on basic rhythms and dysrhythmias, if you dont pass, you cannnot start the program.. I'm so nervous.. I really hope I pass

hey everyone,

i'm new to this, but today i got a call offering me an interview for the multi-system PCU. i am from maine, and moving to florida is a big deal. i just had a few questions for anyone here.

1) it is a 6 month program, after that time, am i guaranteed a job?

2) since it is only a 6 month program, i was wondering why people were mentioning that there is a 2 year commitment?

3) what is the actual deal with the maybe owing 13,000 dollars if you go back on your commitment?

4) would they help me pay to come down for an interview?

5) do they help you get into contact with other new grads for help with housing, etc?

Thanks so much, any information would help.
