Hi, I am starting Lpn school on 8/22/05 at LCCC. Just wondering if there was anyone out there from the Lorain ohio area? Anyone starting Lpn school at LCCC too? Love to here from you.

Hi! I took all of my prereqs at LCCC in Elyria. Now Im in LCCC's satellite ADN program at BGSU Firelands in Huron, OH, because I live in Norwalk. We start on 8/22 also. Good luck.

I didn't realize there is a satellite program out of LCCC/BGSU, Firelands! I think I'll look into that for my RN! :)

I am doing my clinicals at EMH in Elyria too. I will be starting my clinicals on 8/22/05. I will be there on Wed and Thurs from 3-8pm. The best to you too.

Ah, we will miss each other. I have a clinical on Wednesday that starts at 6:50 am to 2:30 pm. I think you will like EMH. It's a pretty busy hospital and I haven't had a nurse or tech yet that hasn't been awesome! :) Hang around and keep us updated on your progress!

Thanks. Im kind of nervous. I know they are really busy so I was kind of nervous about being a student and them having to take time out for us. Hopefully Ill have nice nurses and techs too. Ive never worked over there before. Ive worked at Amherst hospital in the past and prn now as a phlebotomist. Amherst is sooo small compared to EMH.

MLM...hey! Best wishes on your clinicals. I am from Lorain County originally. I live in WV now, for the past 10 years, but was born in Oberlin, OH, lived in Elyria all my life...until age 23 when I moved down here with my now EX-husband! Sometimes don't know why I stay down here! I like the area though, small town...sometimes a good thing, sometimes a bad thing! Also I am currently enrolled in an LPN to BSN program...graduate in 2007. What's the pay scale there for LPNs? Anyway...good to hear from a fellow Lorain Countian!!! :)

Good luck to all the students who will be at EMH. I am an RN at EMH. I was also once the tutor for the LPN and RN students at LCCC. I will probably see all of you at some point and time. I am what they call a Resource nurse. I work most areas of nursing at EMH and our Amherst and Avon hospitals. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask. Best Wishes!
