LPNs and CMAs are not the same,at least here in GA. As an LPN I have to go to many assisted living facilities to give insulin shots because CMAs aren't allowed. Also the pills are already packaged and sorted. I am often asked to come "look at a patient" so the skill set is not the same. The CMA course here is 4 hours long and the LPN program 18 months. How long is the CMA program in NJ?

I need help finding a job in new york for an LPN...I live in Jersey and have a CMA(Certified Medication Aide) license thought jobs would accept that since they trying to fade out LPNS and bringing in CMA ...I have 1 year and a half as CMA thought it would give some credit for LPN since i do almost the same thing as LPNS ..i need a JOB QUICK !!!!
