Anyone know about online MSN degree at Chamberlain?

I'm graduating with my BSN from a traditional university and want to find a good online option for my MSN, but I don't want to waste money or time. I'm interested in Chamberlain, but skeptical. Every school seems as though they want you to jump through hoops to apply with exams, interviews, essays, references, etc. Chamberlain seems almost too accomodating and eager to have me. Any advice?

I can't tell u about the MSN but I am a BSN student and once felt like u are feeling. I will tell u thus far throughout the process, I have been nothing but satisfied....proud to be a CCN student. Set up a meeting to talk to an advisor in admissions and see what u think.......

Just remember that Chamberlain is a for-profit school; as such, it behooves them to make you want to go there and pay tuition! :) I did Chamberlain's RN-BSN program and enjoyed it very much. I was considering them for my MSN (Informatics) as well, but it was just too pricey for me. The school I'm attending for my MSN caps all undergrad and graduate tuition at $250/credit hour for active duty military (which I am) so that we don't have to pay out of pocket if we use our Army tuition assistance. Chamberlain doesn't offer the same, unfortunately.

Chamberlain itself has both regional and national accreditation, and I enjoyed their online learning environment. But if I were you, I'd check out other options that may or may not have a few more hoops. What kind of MSN are you seeking?

Ive hear great things about them but the idea of getting my masters with on online program is making a bit nervous. Do you know if they help you with clinical site placement? If i had questions dure one of my courses, are the professors easily accessible for me to ask them?

hi i have a question about the msn practicum. because the director in my workplace only has bsn. and for the practicum it needs to have an msn degree. is chamberlain going to assist me in finding a mentor? who should i talk to? thank you.

You have to find your own preceptor for clinical. The professor I had for the first class was pretty reliable n answered all my questions. I liked the flow of the class n found it easy to do working full time. I start informatics in May

actually, they bend over backwards to help you get into their school because it's $20K + for tuition. I completed my RN-BSN there and I didn't have to do anything past talking to them on the phone. They requested all of my transcripts for me, etc. but the reason I went with them is because they accepted ALL of my associates credits, versus other schools that required me to retake as much as half of classes. They have remained helpful throughout my coursework.

I didn't continue on for MSN because certain states that I still have a license in ( NY ) does not accept their FNP program. Also, i think it's 2-3 years for MSN and my local college offers it in 18 months. MSN can only be taken one class at a time and tuition is still $400/ cr.

If I don't get into the local school, I'm tempted to go for their MSN/ MBA track.

I too am considering the same track at Chamberlain. Did you make a final decision yet? I'm nervous because I don't know very much about the university. Any info/thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm currently enrolled in their executive track, and I completely misspoke in my last post.

I competed my BSN with Chamberlain/Devry and the MSN/MBA track has been just as the same. No complaints. Classes are more managerial but ok to manage.
