nope. I got a 759and my school doesn't give us any other chances so that just flunked me out of the program.
I took my exit HESI today too. All I can say is, what a bunch of nonsense. 50% of the test were on things I've never even heard of. The questions weren't even discussed in the HESI preparation book or the Saunder's NCLEX book. What a bunch of *&*^%. The test is in no way a reflection of what your knowledge base is... I have no idea what I was tested on???
I passed but this is my 2nd time around. We needed a 900.
I just took my Hesi and need to know how to translate it into a regular school grade (I just looked at my HESI score sheet. It really is not meant to be a high stakes test. It is a predictor of your probability of passing the NCLEX. My school uses it for diagnostic purposes in order to help you prepare to study for the NCLEX by identifying your area of weakness. Did you print off your 10 page score sheet? It exlains what areas that you need to buff up for NCLEX. 799 should not be a reason to fail. THe national average was only 842. Your score probably falls within the margin of error for being in the mean. I would schedule a meeting with your advisor and highlight the national average so you can work on an appeal.
I wish you the best!
Schools make you take it to assure their NCLEX pass rate. Apparently, those that pass the reccommended score is more likely to pass the NCLEX.Meanwhile my stomach still trying to recover from the stress of the studying for the damn thing.
What did you study in order to get above a 900? I received an 860, but needed a 900. Please help me!!!
I just took my Hesi and need to know how to translate it into a regular school grade (From the Evolve website (http://www.coursewareobjects.com/objects/evolve/E2/community_pages/reach/demo/scoring.html):
Scoring ExplanationThe HESI score reflects application of the HESI Predictability Model (HPM) to the composite score. Research studies have found the HPM to be highly accurate in predicting NCLEX success. HESI scores range from 0 to over 1,000, and can be as high as 1,500 (depending on the difficulty level of the exam.).Each school establishes their own standards or requirements for HESI scores. However, Reach suggests 900 as a recommended score and 850 as acceptable.Your "conversion score" is a weighted percentage score that considers the average difficulty of the exam and the average difficulty of the test items you answered. It is set on a traditional 0-100 scale. The percentile ranking measures your level of performance as compared to the performance of a national standard or norm group.See your detailed scoring report for a more in-depth explanation of scoring.
