Hi, I am applying this year to the rn program at MCC. I have the option to join Phi Theta Kappa. Has anyone joined and found it benefical when applying for rn scholarships?

I have not applied for it, but a professor told me if you plan on going for a Ba or Ma then you should do it. They help get transfering scholarships.Plus it is an honor to be in it IMO.

I was just about to post this :) I just got a letter asking me to join it yesterday and I was a bit confused. I'll probably just end up going to the meeting Saturday. Tell me if you join.

They must have orientation meetings in rounds. A letter I got a couple weeks ago had orientation meetings for last weekend and I think last night. I don't think I am going to join. I don't have time for extra meetings or obligations at the moment :).
If you did have time for extra meetings, would you think it's worth it?
I honestly don't know what it involves, so I can't say :). I don't know anyone that's in it. I think doing volunteer work would help you get scholarships.
