I am looking into Troy for FNP and would appreciate any and all feedback. There are several sites. Montgomery, Troy, Dothan. Is one better than the other? I wonder how competitive it is. Was just denied acceptance into UAB and starting to research my other options. Thanks for your help!

Hey, I am also planning to apply for MSN FNP at Troy for Spring 2021. I am out of state as well. How has the program been for you far? My major question for you would be do they offer any assistance with finding clinical placements/ preceptor or are you on your own?

Hoping to hear back from you. Thank you.

Hi Chase23, How is your NP experience so far. I am considering to apply. They offer various benefits to military which brought my attention.

You have to find your own preceptors.  They give you the guidelines and you find them based off them.

So far they are good.  Some give live lectures while most don't.  Like most schools, you are given a syllabus with a course calendar to follow.  Modules are planned out for you making it easy to follow.  You may feel at times that you're on your own but if you have any questions the professors are always quick to respond and help!  All the staff that I've worked with so far have been really nice and supportive especially during this pandemic.  I have nothing but great things to say about the staff.  There are also group projects.  I am a full-time DNP FNP program and work full-time and feel the workload has been very doable.

They are also very supportive of military personnel!
