I'm thinking it should be soon...but just wondering if anyone knows when they are going out...or if they have already gone out. I heard there were 500 applicants for Manchester.:uhoh21:

Congrats roxy! I think my plan is to goto Rivier but accept the position in stratham if I get off the waitlist. I really do want to go there so...riv it is. How do I find pass rates for the NCLEX?

The NCLEX pass rates are here:

I got a call from manchester yesterday...I got into there program..I also got a call from Laconia yesterday and I got a spot in there program. So this means that I have a spot at NHTI, Laconia, Manchester and Rivier!! What do I DO!

Jamie-Sue - Maybe you were first on the list because I called the same day you got the phone call.

Tallulah - Did you get a call too?

I got my letter, and I am in....now I have to make a decision rather quickly. Tomorrow it will be a week since the letters were dated, if I want to go to Manchester then I have to send out a check asap as it is due by the 20th!

Congrats Roxxy. I think you'll get a good education no matter where you go.

With gas prices the way they are, maybe you should consider how much money you'll be spending on the road and just for gas.

Last semester, I had to drive to Claremont from Concord - 1 hour away.

Gas was around the same price as it is now when I started school but dropped to around $2/gal by the end of Oct. I was spending an easy $50/wk plus I had to get up at 5am to get to classes on time. I was so tired by the time the end of the school day rolled around, then I had to drive the 1 hour back.

Driving only 7 minutes to school is sooooo much better. I save money, time and energy.

Good Luck on your decision

No i havent gotten a call yet :uhoh21: and they said that the wait list is eligible all the way up until September. My nerves cant handle this!! :lol2:

Oh and reading the last quote about driving from Claremont to Concord every day...i feel so bad for you! I went to school in Keene and i know that is a very very long drive to take every day!

Talulah

My friend who is about to graduate from NHTI was waitlisted and got her call that she made it in in May. Don't worry. Do you know what #you are on the list?

No, im not sure of my number. The letter they sent says to wait until after May 1st to call. I tried calling the admissions office anyway (im impatient..) and they keep putting me through to the director but she's never there. Every time my phone rings i jump a foot!!

Well I decided against Manchester so hopefully you hear good news soon Talulah! I hope you get in!

Roxy- where'd you decide on?

Won't I be glad when I know for sure!! :) Anyway, I am leaning toward Stratham because it is the closest for me, but I have to get in first! I am waiting to hear back from them about how much they will work with me because of my distance situation before school starts, I think they will be good, so far they have been great, I feel like the communication has been very good. Concord has been great about it, really helpful, so I feel pretty confident with either one of them. Everyone at Concord has been excellent. That was a big factor for me, if I have to commute all the way to Concord I didn't want to get penalized for not going to orientation and end up with a horrible schedule, since I have to take A&P and Micro too. Sooo...that is where it is at the moment!

On a side note, I am excited because it looks like my hubby might be able to do a grad program in the area because the Army is really trying to get captains to stay in longer and not quit after their initial commitment. So we might be able to be together and go to school after all!!

Anyway, thank you for asking! I hope everything is going smoothly for you in your Rivier transition.

That's great that they are working with you- Rivier is doing the same for me. I am beginning in the junior year fall semester but have to take some general ed classes still and everything conflicts with the junior year schedule so it looks like I will be in night class for the one nursing class I need to take. This frees up my day totally so I can catch up on classes I need. I am a little scared that I will be taking so many classes but I am sure it will all work out. I will also be taking Micro at NHCTC-Laconia as well. I love their instructor and will read the book and do as much of the coursework as I can over the summer so hoping it will more of a review for me.

That would be great if your hubby could join you!

Best wishes to you!

PS ROXY- Can't they let you register now since you are enrolled? I know enrollment has already begun for Laconia......

My status is still undecided here! I REALLY want to goto Stratham but I don't know where I fall on the waiting list as of right now. When I got my letter I was #14! My second choice would be rivier because its a bachelors degree but if I accept there spot and then Stratham opened up I would take that spot. This leads to one problem, If I take the spot in riv, I will be doing all of the other classes required of me over the summer, If I get a call in say June from Stratham saying they have a spot then I will have waisted money and time at rivier and still have 3 classes to do for stratham. If I take Manchester the curriculum is identical. So then I could easily transition from Manchester to Stratham. I don't KNOW! And then there is still Laconia which I am pretty sure I am leaning away from. I just hope I get off of strathams waiting list REALLY soon!
