Anyone hear about MHCC or Clackamas yet?

Congrats! Waitlist isn't bad! Plus, at my interview, they told us that everyone on the waitlist was called last year (I think it was last year). When do you hear from OHSU?

Thanks :) OHSU sent out letters Friday so I was expecting it today, but I guess it will be Monday. Congrats on your MHCC acceptance!

I just received my acceptance letter for MHCC Fall Term! Woo Hoo!!!

I'm holding out for CCC though, because the new Harmony Nursing Building is like 2 miles from my house. That would be too cool!

I got my letter from MHCC today too and got on the alternate list. WAY down the list though so I am not very hopeful at all. Crossing my fingers for OHSU now...

The others on here, as well as me, are waiting for CCC. I know a few other accepted students who are holding out for CCC. MHCC took pretty much all of their alternates last year, so I'd say you have a good shot this year as well.

You have an excellent chance of gettting in to MHCC if you are an alternate. I know 2 people last year who were called in the middle of July for spots. Don't lose hope! Root for us to get into CCC and you may gladly have our spots at MHCC!

Thanks everyone. I feel a little bit better. Good luck to you all in getting into CCC! When are you supposed to get their letters? Do you know approximately what numbers the alternates had when they got called up in July?

I got into MHCC for Winter of 2009 as well. :yeah:WooHoo!!! I was really nervous because it was the only school I applied to but Hooray!!!

Too bad I have to wait 7 months before I can start school though. :rolleyes:

Anyone else on this message board planning to accept their position at MHCC? I am DEFINITELY accepting. :up:

Yep! I sent off my acceptance form today! Nice to see some of my future classmates are on here!

The only thing that might throw a wrench in my plans is if my employer can't move me down to 24/hrs per week. I work full time right now and carry health insurance for both my husband and I (DH is self employed)....but I have hope that it will all work out.

Good luck to those who will be attending MHCC this coming school year! I definitely recommend getting as many co-reqs and BSN reqs (if BSN is your plan) done during this summer. You will have some time later, but it feels good to have them out of the way :)

Also I don't know what they said about laptops during the interview, but laptops are virtually required. And that's a good thing. So if you don't have one yet, be sure to get one before your cohort starts. You will definitely appreciate that.

Yes, I'm in the most recent Winter cohort. Term is almost over! Just a few tests in the way :)

I had 61 going in for CCC. In order to get a full 70 going in you'd have to have a Ph.d, all A's in everything and completed, currently working as a CNA in a affiliated hospital, and taken the CNA class at CCC, and completed 200 level foreign language. I'd be curious to know if anybody ever got the full points! It should be any day now that they send out letters!
