Anyone hear from CSU stanislaus for fall 2010?

Published

Hello everyone. Does anyone know when they send out the decision letters from CSU stanislaus? I got into the ohlone program but it is an associate program and since I'm planning on getting a BSN eventually I would really rather go to a CSU right away than take the long route to get there. The other two CSUs I applied to sent me waiting list letters. I'm happy to be in any program, but I noticed that ohlone doesn't have some things the CSUs have, like a pediatrics class. Any ideas?

you can.... you just just use it for the apps and music too.

oh... awesome!!

Bahhh Chessie Im so annoyed filling out financial aid crud.. Its so frusturating. Have you or are you doing that?

Which financial aid?? i already did the FAFSA and got my grants and loans.. i havent filled out the paperwork for the loan yet. i will talk to them when i get back next week!!!

Yah the Fafsa stuff is confusing me.. ahh Ive had to go back to the school twice already cause I keep forgetting something. bahhh. oh well! Hope your feeling better!

I just received an acceptance letter from Stanislaus today. I dont think I will go there tho because I also get accepted into SFSU which is every close to my house. I am giving up my space so one of you guys can take it. Good luck guys :)

Wondering what is your GPS and TEAS score to be accepted by both school?

I am GPS 3.95, TEAS 82, and have extra 5 points of the second language, I applied for Spring 201... I am waiting for my letter now!

I was wondering what is your GPA and TEAS to be accepted by both schools?

I want to apply both schools too, but i am waiting for CSU Stanislaus for Spring 2011..

Thank you!

Hi everyone! I just found this forum and I think it's great! nice place to network and seek any help we may need. Al bit about myself is in order I guess. About 2 years ago I decided I needed a change in careers, and after talking to a few nurses, one in particular who is a male cousin of mine who has been a trauma nurse for years, I decided to take the plunge! I have attended college, not too seriously mind you, in the distant past, just a class here and there, but I must say that attending school full time has been great and really fun. The prereqs for the nursing program were really interesting and the science behind it all is fascinating and enlightening; there are so many things that I didn't know about the Human body that these classes made clear. Well anyway I don't want to talk too much and bore everyone, but I do have a question or 2 if you don't mind me asking. When it comes to acceptance into CSU Stan's nursing program, does anyone know when or in the case of not being admitted, if, the notifications for the fall 2011 semester go out? I know that at the community colleges if you make the acceptance pool then your name is drawn by lottery ( I don't understand the reasoning behind this because qualifying with only a B average gives no incentive to excell) which prompted my decision to apply for the program at CSU. Another question I have is whether or not I will be competitive, I have an overall gpa of 3.97, a science gpa of 4.0 and a non science gpa of 3.85 or so. My only concern is my TEAS score, I took it last minute and only scored an 85.6. It was my first attempt and I was dissapointed, so my question is, should I just write-off my chances for acceptance this fall semester, re-take the TEAS and re-apply for the spring semester or is there hope? I live in the service area but don't speak any language other than English, and have never worked in healthcare before. Any honest answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

@futuremurse- Welcome!

I am a current 2nd semester nursing student at CSUS... With your resume, i;m sure you'll have no problem getting in. BTW- I think Fall notifications start going out during the summer.

There are quite a few people that got in with only grades and no experience, no extra language, etc... Im sure you'll be good!

Hope that helped! Good luck!
