Anyone hear from CSU stanislaus for fall 2010?

Hello everyone. Does anyone know when they send out the decision letters from CSU stanislaus? I got into the ohlone program but it is an associate program and since I'm planning on getting a BSN eventually I would really rather go to a CSU right away than take the long route to get there. The other two CSUs I applied to sent me waiting list letters. I'm happy to be in any program, but I noticed that ohlone doesn't have some things the CSUs have, like a pediatrics class. Any ideas?

@Court - If I remember correctly, orientation was a lot of listening to the instructors tell you what to expect, so bring a notebook. I also think we took a critical thinking test in the computer lab. No big deal - they just want to see where you're at now & compare it to where you will be when you finish the program. Can't remember if we took our Medical Term test, I don't think so. And then we registered for our classes. That was pretty much about it

@Chessie - My first semester was in Spring 2009 :) - heading into my 4th semester this fall.

Chessie- r u going to the New Student Orientation on the 13th? Even though I went to the nursing one it still isnt letting me register for classes...some of the other girls in the class are having the same problem and they too r going on the 13th.. lemme know and we can meet up!

Hello ladies!! No i wont be going.. i already went to my student orientation in june... im actually in florida and wont be back until the 16th or so..

btw.. have you guys gotten all your shots, physical, etc??? how about the background check? is it long to do?

i have been sick for the past 3 days with 100 + temp.. so not feeling good but still trying to be a trooper and get stuff done while im down here....

i dont think the background check is done till we start clincals...ive started the shots but not done at all. It doesnt take long except for getting the hep b i think..its like 6 months till u get the next one. It sucks cuz my doctors office is over an hour away from where I live now so I have to really make a schedule to go... but yah you should be fine. have you registered? When you get back I think you and Suzanna should come over for a celebration/getting to know eachother night!

Uggh well I went to the doctor and apparently i have an ear/throat infection combo with a side of sores that are making my life miserable... on the other hand, i cant get my shots through the student services because im tech not a student till school starts so i have to find a local doc to give me the shots..

and yes... a little get together would be nice!

ehhh that sounds horrible! Poor thing, get some rest! That sucks your out of town and you have to get sick. I gave you my number on private message and Ive got yours so when you get back into town you and suzanna and me will figure something out...maybe we can even do a little study sesh since we r getting a mini quiz on med term the first week... feel better hun

Thanks, your so sweet. I got a question, how do we know the books we need and the materials for class, etc??? Did they give you guys that info at the orientation?

Because i wanted to be prepared so i could hit the ground running...

They gave us some...if you want Ill give u the ISBN numbers... the materials we need Im not sure about though... get the books on amazon...you save ssoooo much more than buying them from the bookstore
