Anyone hear of the ATI program?

Our CC required us to take the ATI during 2nd semester and 4th semester. I thought it was really good. All of our tests during school were done on the computer and NCLEX style, so that was an added bonus. You'll do fine on the ATI!!! Just take your time, breathe in and breathe out!

I had to take ATI's throughout every semester that I was in school. I just graduated from the 14 month accelerated program and every semester that I had a clinical class, we had to take ATI. I only passed OB, community and leadership and failed all the rest. It was hard for me and my other classmates because I don't know how your school does it but my school goes by the individual rank and not the composite score. You had to get a 60 or higher on the individual rank score or you had to take it over non-proctored with a 90% or higher. If they would have went by my individual composite score I would not have to had take it over again. In my last semester which was this week, we had to take an nclex predictor test from ATI and if you did not get a 64.4 you have to take it over again. I got a 63.3 so I have to take it over again. They will not give me my diploma unless I pass this nclex predictor test. My school wants everyone have .95 predictability of passing nclex. I was at .91. ATI says that I still have the same chance of passing nclex as the people who achieved .95 predictability. To me, it is just a hassle.

Oh well what can you do. I will take it monday and pass it since I was one or two questions off.

Good luck with ATI's. I find what is helpful is looking at the DVD's instead of reading the book.

I am taking a test in the ATI program tommorrow on Nursing Fundamentals. I am a Student Practical NUrse at Boces New York, and am expected to read and know 32 chapters for this testing. I can't see how one person can remember all of these chapters. Has anyone else taken this, and what am I to expect? If someone has gone through this, I would appreciate some feedback on knowing that maybe I am not the only one who feels overwhelmed. Thank you very much. Aileen

PS-I think this is an example of what the state boards might be like. All I can say is "Ugh"! lol

Thanks to all who replied! It was rough, but know that I can do better next time. It is a good tip on saying what your weaknesses are. This way, you know what to study harder in!

Whats an ATI? I think it sounds like when I was in LPN school and we had to take an NCLEX-like test on the computer...is that it?

ahhhh, yes, the ATI.....we do this every semester at the end at my school....they say it doesn't count BUT you need to pass in the 50th percentile or higher on the proctored tests or you get an incomplete grade for the semester until you pass it AND you have to get 90th percentile or higher on non proctored. Everyone usually does the non proctored ones until they get 90 or higher then we print out the results & take it with us in case we don't pass the proctored one on the computer at school...just saves the big hassle & worry....

We will be doing Med/Surg, Mental Health and the Comprehensive NCLEX RN Prep as well since we are graduating..

I hear some nursing schools do not do ATI...I wonder........I think this was a new thing anyway when I started at my current school because the previous one did not have ATI...
