anyone with good/bad experiences with PPR

Wishy, I can tell you that i have liked rn network, I have worked with them for a year and a half but recently had to change to another company to take assignment in tx because they didn;t have for any openings. Im doing an assignment with american mobile at present but i don;t like some of the things such as if you want private h0using you have to pay some to get it and insurance doesn;t start for thirty days so i had to get insurance and pay for it! But didn;t have much choice at the time when i switched since i was close to deadline in the last assignment. Rn network you get free private housing and insurace from day one. So the main issue to all of this is to look at what travel companies have to offer and what you want. :roll

I have been traveling for a very long time, and I have only heard GREAT things about PPR, but I can't say the same about the rest of the agencies you mentioned! However, I have not personally worked for them, but have talked to them about an assignment. I have also talked to the others, and after reading the feedback on them, I wouldn't EVER tak an assignment with them!

I'm a new traveller, too. I'm working for PPR right now, and they've been good to us as far as housing goes. The insurance doesn't start for 30 days, though, and that can be a problem for some. It hasn't been a problem for us (YET) -- 10 days to go until it kicks in. The one thing I've discovered is that I'm getting paid significantly less than folks with considerably less experience than me. I won't accept another assignment with PPR unless I get paid what I'm worth!

I have been traveling for 6 years, and I can tell you that I've heard good and bad about ALL of those companies. I am not traveling right now, but honestly, the only company I would consider working with right now is Travel Nurse Solutions. They pay in the 30's, offer airfare and rental car, plus have the other bennies. They treated my VERY well. Good luck!

I personally wouldn't work for PPR.. I called Stacey Pavish and she very bluntly told me they don't get dialysis jobs often and she didn't even bother to offer to look.

I have a good company and they do mostly dialysis so I don't need to give PPR my business..

Just my two cents.

As I mentioned elsewhere. Check Delphi Forums Travel Nurse and Therapists.. Intellistaf and Aureus don't have very good reps at all... Aureus cold calls travel nurses in the middle of the night at the hospital pretending to be family members in order to recruit that nurse.

And one of their new recruiters asked posters on TNT "Where would you find a nurse but at a hospital ? " Can you imagine that..

Not my idea of a great company..

Good Luck,,, Make sure you understand everything these companies tell you...Read your contract. If it's not acceptable DON'T CROSS OUT anything ...Send it back unsigned and have it re-written. And re-written until it meets your criteria

You can actually post your wants and desires there, see what others are requesting for pay rates, and make a travel resume for travel companies to view..
