Anyone going to Willow Street this year?

I just got accepted into LCCTC Willow Street's LPN program! I have to go to the orientation/group interview thing later this month, but I'd like to start in Jan.

Anyone else here attending this school? I'd love to meet some awesome LPNs-to-be, even if we won't be in the same class. I have a feeling that , since I'm traveling all the way from Harrisburg, that I won't know anyone.

I'm not sure yet. Jan is day, but because of work and living so far away (Harrisburg) I think I'd like to start evenings in March. I'm calling to reserve my space tomorrow! Whch did you attend? How'd you like it?

I attended the evening program. It was the only option for me as I had to continue working. Plus I had heard that you got better (more) hands on clinical experience in the evening program vs. day program. It was tougher than I thought it would be, but certainly well worth it when you receive your diploma! Good luck to you!

I'm thinking about entering the LPN program at LCCTC and would love to hear from anyone who is going/has gone and what you thought of it. Were you in the day or evening program? Did you have to wear uniforms every day of class or just for clinicals?

I was in the evening program. Yes you have to wear uniforms for class and clinicals. From what I hear, the evening program is better than the day program - there's a little more breathing room - ie: it's fast paced, but not as much as days; and there seems to be more clinical time. I know the students who come to my facility (on days) are oftentimes leaving after half a day d/t having to be checked off on something or for other reasons. Overall, I thought it was a good program. After reading posts on here, they teach you alot compared to other programs. Obviously you have to do what is best for you, but I'd recommend the evening class.

Speaking of Lcctc, I am in the admission process for this program.....I have heard this program makes graduates "eligable" for the licensing exam, but is not accredited by Pennsylvania board of nursing, but by the council on occupational education...is this a problem for someone like myself who wants to continue to work in Maryland after licencing? what if I go thru the program, and cannot get licenced in maryland? anyone's help is appreciated!

HI All ,

Im new here. Just found this thread and im also looking at going for my LPN at LCCTC. Does anyone know how hard it is to get in? Whats the entrance exam like? Im a EMT right now and taking courses at HACC. Is it hard to get in?

I have applied for the May program. There is a brochure on their website. You print out your application and mail it them with a $55 app fee. I have not taken the entrance exam yet. I will take it March 17th.their website is lcctc.org. Look under adult education.

When you mail your app you have to also request that your transcripts be sent there. They will not call you to schedule you for the entrance exam(which is the TEAS test) until they have all your transcripts. Hope this helps!:)
