Id really like to meet some nurses that work here in south florida. Maybe get together, have a BBQ, or go have a nice lunch and talk about the job market and what to expect ect.

hey, i'm not in ft lauderdale yet but i may be going to Nova in August 2007. are you going for your LPN?

Yea, Im going for my LPN, then RN then BSN! I know its taking the long way around but its less waiting and I want to get into the field asap. I already have my AA in nursing so that will speed things up.

Nova is BEAUTIFUL. I wish I could afford to go there :)

yeah, it is pretty expensive, but hopefeully i'll get some good financial aid, scholarships, and loan reimbursement! i applied to FAU as well and also Um, but they are super expensive!! what school are you looking into for your BSN?

I'm not a nurse yet (currently sending out applications for Accelerated BSN programs), but I'm in the Broward area :)

Honestly I do not know where I will be getting my BSN. I can plan ahead far enough to know how I intend to get one, but the specifics of which school arent on my radar yet.

I will most likley do the MDC Lpn -> RN. For my RN -> BSN if I havent fled FL yet will be where ever I can get in. :shrug:

I moved to Fort Lauderdale about 4 months ago. I graduated with a RN degree 7 months ago. I like it here, but it is expensive.

I am in Sunrise, FL going to BCC in Davie. I start the RN program in August 2007. I plan on doing my RN to BSN at FAU.
